I read an article on a recent case of physical abuse in the public media. This article was on the new controversy between Chris Brown and long time girlfriend, pop sensation, and Grammy winner Rihanna. I write this article in support of domestic violence awareness month. Chris Brown and Rihanna had plans to perform together for the 55th annual Grammy Award Ceremony. Unfortunately, they did not make it to the event because of the former attack upon Rihanna by Brown just hours before they were supposed to perform for the award ceremony. This just shows how abuse can happen to anyone and we need to be aware of it and get help immediately for people of abuse suspicions. This happens all around the world and seems to be overlooked by many, for various reasons. Yet, one should know that this is a real global issue that needs to be observed.Sunday, March 8, 2009
